How we operate
Own the outcome
See the whole problem, not just the task in front of you. We trust people to take initiative, make decisions, and carry important work from an ambiguous starting point to a real result.
Bring a real edge
We value people with specific spikes or an unusual depth of skill, judgment, or curiosity. You should know where you are exceptional and be eager to make the team stronger with it.
Use first principles
New markets do not come with reliable playbooks. We ask what is true, work from the underlying mechanics, and change our minds when the evidence changes.
Bring different strengths
A small team working across engineering, markets, operations, and product. The strongest people at Ornn have different backgrounds and different strengths, but are deeply collaborative, curious, and hungry to build.
What to expect during interview process
Start with a conversation
Our interview process varies by role and is not built around rigid stages. At a high level, each conversation helps us understand three things: who you are, how you think, and whether the way we work feels like a mutual fit.
Go deeper
First, we’ll kick off an introduction call to learn more about you, then technical rounds or more indepth conversations to see how you think.
Make it mutual
Our hiring manager will explain more about the process as you progress. Please bring questions at every stage. The process should help you evaluate Ornn as clearly as we evaluate you.
How should I prepare?
Read the role carefully and spend some time understanding Ornn’s products and the compute market. Come ready to discuss one or two pieces of work you know deeply: the problem, the decisions you made, what you personally owned, the result, and what you would do differently now. Bring questions for us, too.
